Nativi-tree scene
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Bexley.
- Saturday, 3rd of December 2022
- Led by Tim Dickson
It was lovely to be back at Christ Church, Erith, setting up for their annual Christmas Tree Festival.
After moving the 50 trees into position around the church, we also helped to assemble the stable and arrange the characters in the nativity scene.
With shepherds, wise men, Mary, Joseph, donkey and cow in position* we were treated to mince pies and biscuits before heading home.
Next week the local companies and organisations who have sponsored a tree will decorate them ready for the Festival next weekend. Entrance is free with donations going to the church and Greenwich & Bexley Hospice.

(* in case you are wondering, baby Jesus will join the cast on Christmas Eve.)
