Net-working past curtain disaster
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 20th of January 2018
The day was wet, damp, the atmosphere was chilled & the dreaded phone call had to be made... Mr H's garden was to be rescheduled but that didn't deter 2 lovely runners from the grabbing the best out of the situation.
After Parkrun, Nykolette told us that her partner in crime had to cancel last minute so Helen & myself stepped in to lend a hand with her mission (Hanging curtains for Mrs A
As we arrived, I realised (&so did Mrs A) that I had helped with her garden as she said joking said "Oh no, the man who can talk for hours" upon opening the door!
After a quick brief on the task, Nykolette & myself got to work in the kitchen removing and replacing the net curtains whilst Helen got to work in the sitting room.
With the downstairs now having a more floral theme, we took our good deed faces to the next level (or the upstairs bedrooms as they are noreally called :D
After some confusion with net curtains by me whilst the girls had no issues, we got the task competed within the hour making Mrs A's home looking like new.
We made our goodbyes & left with the wise words in my ear "Stay away from them girls, they're trouble" to laugh, goodness & CATFORD 1st Crumble competition
