The wind has been blowing a gale all day and it has been pretty wet to add into the mix. So it was amazing to see 8 runners turn up at Daveena's tonight!

Sarah had already run down from around half a mile away and turn up pretty wet after we had decided in true british fashion 'it wasn't that bad' and sounds worse than it is!

Agreement of the runners to all stick together tonight but we will switch back as we need to to stop getting too cold and wet along the way!

Another week of up the north road and along the Ashley Road. Richard looped back whilst Nicola and myself took an extra loop round only to find the back runners were only just behind us and we had all puffed up the hill in pretty good time! All this hill training is making us fitter - Sarah had completed a fast near PB parkrun last week despite a drink or two the night before.

Talking of parkruns - Nicola and Sarahare both celebrating 50th parkruns this week - Sarah at Poole and Nikki at Upton so hope to see a few of you there!

Along the Ashley Road and onto the church where Debbie, the church ministers wife, met us there. This is the best bit - this week we got tea and biscuits! And not just any biscuits - but lovely chocolate fancy ones! Richard was keen to help tea prep, I have to say it was the best tasting tea!

The task was to clean all the benches, dust down the windows, and basically make the area ready for concerts coming up. The gallery is only used on an annual basis so needs a good clean before bottoms on seats. Three buckets on the go and it was less than 10 minutes later before clean water was needed all round! So refill for each group.

The dirtiest water was definitely the group with Tim! and Patricia!

Jane was the first to grab the marigolds and a feather duster tonight - well we need to keep our nails clean😉

Great to see Gayle back again this week for second time despite the miserable weather!

30 minutes later,8 cups of tea, a glass of water and box of tissues (!), there was a difference we could all see with all the pews looking cleaner, and more inviting!

Return leg was the same route back, but this time allowing for a gentle jog down North Road avoiding all the wet leaves before a stretch and return home for tea!

Next week is the final week and mince pies will be served at the end!
