Question: How to make people willingly run 10km? Answer: Stick a bag full of chocolates at the finish line!

3 Goodgymmers needed little more encouragement than that to venture out this morning, Big shout out to Pauline taking on her first ever 10K after coming back from injury also! Becky with her eyes focused solely on the bag of chocolatey goodness at the end ( which i'm informed did not last long afterwards ) and Sean wanting the awesome York themed bling!

Should we peek in the bag, see if it's worth running for?

Sean thinking it wise to avoid parkrun on Saturday, to keep trainers dry for the race. Becky went totally opposite and got soaked completing parkrun, then drenched further cycling home, and so turned up with still soggy trainers! Not that it slowed her down here at all she very quickly opened a gap from the start before keeping a nice steady pace round the 2 laps completing in a very respectable time and the front runner of the group!

Sean took the whole thing steady but still managed a new 10K PB after a super close sprint finish, coming from behind on the final corner and neck and neck crossing the line! Where's that photo from the finish line!

Pauline put in a solid effort for her first 10K and inspired by her success has already signed up to another!

For anyone who missed this one, the organisers have another planned for the 5th November... The Gunpowder Plot 10k which you can check out and sign up to here
