This week's run saw 12 of us run the 3kms to Nubian Day Care Centre in the north of the borough. The Day Care Centre is just off Loftus Road so we had the last minute addition of 2 bonus running drills: 1. 'dodge the friendly QPR fans' and 2. 'convince the police men on horse back that we weren't disturbing the locals when ringing Nubian's door bell'! Once safely ensconced in Nubian's garden we were greeted by the lovely Jazz and her team and got to work clearing the centre's slightly over-grown garden and getting it ready for winter.

With some GoodGym 'speed-weeding' the team couldn't deliver bin bags quickly enough! But we were soon bagging up weeds galore and moving onto new areas of the garden. We discovered a number of giant thorns hidden in the flower beds...and so commenced operation 'bag the thorns without snagging ourselves, our kit or the rubbish bags' - led expertly by Jason and Fran. We won out :)

A big high-five to our 5 new runners this week - a great effort all round! We hope to see you again next week.

Next week we are heading for a run along the river before a flower-bed digging and bulb planting expedition to the Queen Caroline Estate in Hammersmith - Sign up here

And don't forget to sign up to our Socials page on Facebook here

Have a great week all! Anna
