Today's mission was to help out my coach who is getting a new kitchen fitted by the council.

He needed all his kitchen items boxed up to have the kitchen clear for the work to go ahead.

When I got there Mr P had a few other ideas which would make his life easier for him and his carer whilst the work takes place.

He had us clear some shelves in a small cupboard just outside the kitchen where, he could store the day to day items he needed for his meals. We then boxed away everything else that he did not need for a while.

Then when we asked is that everything he had another little surprise for us.

Knowing him the way I do (he's not comfortable with girls doing heavy lifting) I know he didn't really want to ask but I guess he knew it had to happen.

He said the fridge and microwave needed to be moved too but he was worried we wouldn't be able to do it.

After checking that Beth was comfortable with this we made light work of moving the fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle to it's their temporary location where they can still be used.

We then checked with Mr P if that was everything and he said yes.

We wished Mr P a good day and then went our way.

It was great to meet Beth today and I was very happy we were able to help out my coach.
