Report written by Nicky Woodall (she/her)
๐ฆ๏ธ 22 brilliant GoodGymmers met on a pleasantly sunny Monday evening, very relieved that the rain had stopped in time for our group run. We heard about everyone's running achievements at Round Sheffield Run on Saturday and also received a parkrun recommendation with the Griffins giving high praise to Sewerby after their run there this weekend ๐โโ๏ธ๐
โ๐น We started our naming-numbering-warm up with our favourite drinks, from tea to whisky, before heading to Rowntree Park for our task with St. Nick's. Our job today was loading tarps with dock cuttings and transporting them to the compost area of the local allotments, which turned out not to be very close! The other job was more of our favourite scything. Everyone got stuck in with aplomb ๐
๐ช After many tarp-loads and plenty of scythe-swishes, we were almost done. Some of our non-running heroes took the final (and very large) tarp-load to the compost area whilst our running heroes did the famous/infamous bleep test. There were some very admirable efforts (alongside some slight disagreement about how to respond to the double-bleep ๐คฃ) - brilliant work everyone ๐ฅณ
๐ And after a jog back to base, that was that (other than some very yummy baking from Lucy ๐).
๐คฉ Thank you everyone, and see you next week (or at rounders/Endure in the meantime) ๐
