We ran 4km to sand and oil all the building blocks at Tunstall Nursery!

After last week's wild and windy session, we were all very pleased to be out running on such a lovely evening! Our 14 runners headed out into the chilly night after a quick warm up, taking a new route to the nursery.

When we arrived, we were met by Jane who was very pleased to see us - and we were very pleased to hear that our task was indoors this time! She explained that she would like us to sand down the big pile of building blocks, trying to remove as many of the pen marks as possible, and then oil them.

We all got straight to work on the sanding and soon there was dust flying everywhere! Luckily Paul worked out a production system to keep a steady flow of blocks arriving and stopping the sanded ones getting mixed up with the old ones. Everyone enjoyed perching on the miniature chairs and even suggested that Martin read everyone a story while we worked! Once we had made good progress with the sanding, Martin and Paul got started oiling the blocks so that they were ready to be used by the children again in the morning. For the final minutes everyone helped out with the oiling while Dovile hoovered up the piles of sawdust we had created!

Jane was thrilled with the result and is looking forward to seeing us again soon!

For our fitness session, we went over to our usual time-trial loop - a lot of healthy competition as usual and great times from everyone! This week's champions were Ollie and Dovile - great work.

Well done to Sarah for completing her 50th Good Deed! Looking forward to seeing your black t-shirt very soon!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at next week's group run - don't forget it's social week!
