On a lovely evening after a great bank holiday, 5 runners made their way to the 'Dusty Forge' in Ely to the community garden set up by 'Grow Cardiff'.

Grow Cardiff exists to provide hands-on support to people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them come together to create and sustain fantastic shared, edible, wildlife-friendly growing spaces across the city and beyond

They fulfil these aims by partnering and actively working together with a host of like-minded organisations, groups and local people in our communities.

And today was goodgym's turn. Our task to clear the pathways so that the volunteers could return to use the gardens and get involved. During lockdown no one was able to maintain the site and so it had become over run with weeds. After just over an hour our task was complete, we chatted quickly with the team before leaving. Hopefully it won't be so long next time before we return.
