Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Beth Nelson
With it scorching outside I decided on a leisurely walk rather than run down to Ms L, but even that had me dripping in sweat by the time I reached her road. After a couple of walks up and down the road I admitted defeat in finding Ms L's flat block and gave her a ring. "Look for the blue balconies, go past them and then look up and you'll see the block name above the entrance gate", Ms L explained to me. Her instructions worked a treat, but boy did I have to look up high to see the name of her flat block, no wonder I didn't see it first, second or third time around!
Ms L came to meet me at the gate entrance and laughed that she too had walked the road up and down about eight times when she first came to view her flat! She came armed with her shopping list and money and I set off round the corner to the local Sainsbury's. It was a very speedy shop as there were only 4 items on her list this week, 2 x Koko unsweetened coconut milks and 2 x Jordan's Country Crispy Chunky Nuts.
I paid for all the items and headed back to Ms L with all her shopping items in hand - this turned out to be the trickiest part, balancing it all in my arms without dropping it! I headed up the four flights of stairs to Ms L's flat and handed over her shopping items and change. She thanked me for getting them all for her and was even more chuffed when I told her the cereal was on special offer, what a bonus! We had a brief chat about the weather and our evening plans before we said our goodbyes.
