15 Runners ran 5 or 8k to shift woodchip and level ground for Oasis Nature Park in Stockwell.

We gathered in the comforting enclaves of City Pantry and Photofusion, people who sort out excellent food and help you make the best photos. Tonight we were going to somewhere completely new. Most of us hadn't heard of Clapham before tonight, but we set out to find out if the place was real or just a fantasy. Ian said he would try to navigate to this unchartered territory; would we simply reach the end of the world and fall off a cliff or would would we find precious treasures?

First, we had to deal with some stuff at the Oasis Nature Park, part of a charity that helps children play in really nice places. We worked hard; digging up a part of the ground, sticking loads of logs into the earth and digging up a big patch of grass ready for replanting.

The 3 teams got all the work done in 35 mins.

We split into 2 teams the elite speed group of 4 who did a nifty 5k in total arriving back at base well before 8.30 and the brave Clapham team. In an interview after the run, Ian said:

"Yeah man. It was really good but we felt it was quite oppressive running through Clapham. There were loads of other fitness groups. and there was lots of it happening, loads of people doing sit-ups and stuff, wasting their exercise. We agreed that Brockwell park was much more fun. Clapham is basically where you go to work out."

Well done everyone. Job well done.
