OMG - there's a queue at Waitrose!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 31st of December 2020
I'm still chuckling to myself even now as I sit and write this over the level of astonishment both inside and outside the world's politest supermarket earlier today that there really was a queue (and it was quite impressive...not quite M20/Dover Operation Stack like, but for the Brunswick Centre it was clearly bringing back memories of March/April for many of today's shoppers...).
Fortunately once inside, it was the usual oasis of calm and friendliness from the staff and Ms J's now familiar list was easy to complete. Having now learned that her favourite chocolate bar of choice is the Fruit and Nut, I snuck a bar into her shopping bag for her to enjoy this New Year's Eve - if ever there was a year end that deserved a bit of chocolate flavoured indulgence, 2020 would be right up there.
