Tonight was another lovely Goodgym Group run. Admittedly, we weren't a very BIG group but we were a group none the less! ;-)

Tonight we set off from our base at St. Paul’s pantry for a nice powerwalk. There weren’t enough of us to split the group, lol! We had a lovely chat as we pounded the pavements, making our way through the streets of Crewe in a circular route back to the food bank (luckily the weather was on our side once again!).

When we arrived back at the food bank, we were greeted by Elliot and his lovely wife Nicola who showed us to our evening task. The food bank is housed inside a huge, old church. It really is quite something. The staff and volunteers are investing a lot of time and energy into this amazing project and it really is looking fabulous.

Tonight we were painting a large room that will be used for the adults that work and volunteer at the centre. It’s at the top of the old church and is a big old room. Alison, Karen & Nicola set to work with their paint trays and rollers (luckily the cutting in had already been done – result!).

We worked alongside Elliot and Nicola and between us all, we soon had the task all wrapped up. It looked lovely when it was finished. At the end of the evening, Richard, the CEO of St. Paul's pantry gave us a guided tour of the new community cafe. It looks fabulous and I for one, can't wait to try it out soon.

It was another lovely evening, spent in lovely company doing work to help improve the lives of our local community.

Well done team, you were amazing as always!!! xx
