Without a fair few regulars this week, but we pressed on in a group of four. Mandi, met us over there, Si and Hils met me at base and ran down together. Chewing the jubilee weekend fat as we ran down, and separately, discussing who GoodGym Newham would have in its band if a performance needed to be made.

We got to CD, then followed Basia around, like young ducklings, from cabin to cabin. We eventually got to our place of work, Mandi then joined us too. Painting the washbasin cladding in an oily brown hue, as per last time it was hard work, to be done in fast quick strokes, or face being reprimanded by our ferocious leader. We organically began discussing the monarchy and their relevance in modern culture. Unanimous decision - they have no place. These five people in East London unfortunately not representative of the wider country, maybe one day...

After completion of two boards of cladding, we downed brushes, said farewells and trotted back along the canal to conclude our midweek session. I saw some magical sunset colours back in Holloway, dramatic pinks and reds lit up the sky ahead.
