Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
.....Actually our visits to the lovely Aston Mansfield team are a bit more than one offs. But, you get the drift.
A favourite ongoing project of GGNewham is redecorating the maze of rooms that lie beyond the doors of Durning Hall Community Centre. Last night we attempted to patch up the work from the last visit back in January as well as 'blueing' up the opposite wall in its entirety.
We casually divided up into groups on parallel sides of the room, selected our weapons of choice: roller or brush. Then selected our level of choice: ladder or floor. Once again Andy's reach saved the day and along with Steph they made light work of the dreaded ceiling edges. No paint splatter landed on any heads and bar me and a smudge on Carol's cheek the rest of the group remained untouched by Dulux.
Half an hour later it was time to return to base.
After a 20min run back to the Aquatics Centre I attempted to take the group through a slightly more demanding set of cool down stretches than usual using the railings. Insert cries for help alongside feelings of flexion in undisturbed muscles buried deep within. ELASTICITY LEVELS UP BY 10
Thanks once again to all the Newham runainters (runner painters)
