This week 12 of us ran 3kms each way to St Michael's and St George's church in White City to help clear a very overgrown area of the church garden. We didn't need much divine wisdom - we were asked to simply get our biceps to work and clear, clear, clear!

Despite a good few nettle stings we managed to move lot of rubbish and greenery and left a blank canvas for the area which will become a garden for the Sunday School and local children.

Sadly our water hadn't been turned into wine but that undoubtedly led to a rather easier run back to base! Our halos shining (..most likely from our head torches!) we ran the 3kms back to the squash centre and did a quick warm-down before heading home with the quiet satisfaction of a good run and a positive volunteering effort completed...and it's still only Tuesday! Until next week....
