Another fabulous night spent with 7 Goodgym lovelies tonight.

This week, we were back at My CWA to continue with the painting that we started last week. It was nice to have another indoor task (we do love an indoor task at this time of year!)

Claire, Emma, Karen, Nigel, Maurice, Suzanne and Nicola gathered outside My CWA ready for our run. Claire, Emma, Karen, Suzanne and Nicola set off for a steady 3K run, while Maurice & Nigel opted for the walking group tonight. It as a chilly night but lovely and clear and we all soon warmed up once we got the heart rate up. We did a circular route taking in some of Crewe (and also meeting a South Cheshire Harrier Legend, Martin on the route). Christmas decorations are starting to go up and tonight we passed Crewe’s biggest Christmas Tree which is a sight for sore eyes.

When we arrived back at base, we split into two groups. Half of us upstairs and half of us downstairs. The downstairs group was made up of Claire, Suzanne and Emma and they tackled some emulsioning in one of the downstairs corridors. I believe there was even some trance music for company – kindly supplied by Claire! The team made light work of the task and had it licked in no time!

The upstairs bunch (including monkey) had the job of glossing the skirting boards and windows. Nigel and Maurice did the labourious task of sanding and wiping down, while Karen and I got the nice job of putting the gloss on. By some miracle, neither of us got any gloss on our clothes!! Musical entertainment was provided by Maurice tonight with a good variety of hits to help keep us upbeat. We managed to get all the skirtings done and one of the windows too (it's a big room!).

The highlight of the evening was of course seeing Monkey in his Goodgym T-Shirt (thank goodness you’ve got a memory Maurice!) oh and the chocolate biscuits too obviously!

Well done team – My CWA is definitely looking fresher after our efforts tonight. Gream team work as always!
