Our task today was to move all the over-wintered perennials from the middle benching to side benches to make room for all the newly -potted bedding plants. The perennials will all go outside as soon as the fencing has been made deer-proof, otherwise we will just be providing them with a tasty snack! Laura and Angela started moving the pots, putting them in alphabetical order along the bench. Meanwhile Sheila was removing any dead leaves, old stalks and weeds. By the end of the session we had all the plants in order, and looking much better

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
