It was a busy morning at Braywick Heath Nurseries, and Laura and Sheika went to help out. Our first job was to save hundreds of violas and pansies inside the greenhouse, which had developed blackspot. The plant manager assured us that all they needed was some fresh air, so we loaded them all onto trollies and took them to the outside sales area. We were treated to some lovely singing from a robin, who then hopped closer to see if there were any feeding opportunities. There was then a large delivery of plants, so we spent the rest of the morning putting price stickers on pots of grape hyacinths, primulas, crocuses, narcissus and roses. Before going home I treated myself to a pot of Snake's Head Fritilleries for my rockery. Spring is on it's way!

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
