11 Goodgymers ran 5.3k to InterAct at Moulsham Mill

After a day of torrid weather 11 runners decided we needed something to help us over Hump Day - and a perfect antidote is Goodgym! We are well on the way to smashing our good deed target in the January Challenge with less than 10 to go after tonight.

Laurie and Cara set the pace, helicoptering our arms to warm up as we went. As it was quite a chilly evening, we decided to undertake a mixture of skipping, high knees and sprinting between lampposts in order to get the blood pumping. After running by the river we ended up at Moulsham Mill where Susie wished us Happy New Year and set out our task, giving the TV room a fresh coat of paint.

After placing dustsheets and moving sofas, we set to work. The ceiling already looks a million times better and the walls are on their way - Jenny is right; they might need a couple of coats though! With James G and James C both getting so stuck in that they even managed to get paint on their heads. After an extended painting session to avoid the cold we cleaned and tidied, putting the room back where we found it. The kids are using it this week so hopefully they notice phase one of our hard work. We are back next week to pick up where we left off where hopefully Joel will think of a better pun than the one this week.

After swiftly running back to base we stretched and summed up our session. We always love going to InterAct. Thanks to everyone who came and see you for the social tomorrow, or for next week's good deed!
