What a change in weather we had for the afternoon segment of this task! It was scorchio, and we all arrived to the task ready to go after a nice Saturday afternoon run.

Charlotte, Tracey and Angela started out by helping raise awareness of the Great Salterns Preservation Society who work hard to look after that lovely bit of land.

As the Fun Day in Baffins came to a close, it was all hands on deck to dismantle the gazebos, arena, tables and chairs that Maxine and Angela had put up this morning.

Charlotte patiently (and very neatly!) rolled up the netting that had made up the arena while Tracey and Angela collected the stakes around the border. Angela had a go at throwing these to stick in the ground but was pretty rubbish at it.

Tracey had a go using the trolley to move some chairs down to the Baffins Pond Association compound and Angela put her weight training to good use by helping to load up the trailer with Charlotte.

The members of the Baffins Pond Association were very grateful for our help and some of the day’s helpers were kind enough to pose for a selfie with us!

Tracey headed off into the sun to track down some gluten free flour and Charlotte and Angela ran off south before parting ways.

A lovely day spent helping out the community!
