1 goodgymer cycled 2.7miles to help the Borough Food Cooperative sorting food donations, restocking the shelf and food repackaging.
The Borough food cooperative is an amazing charity. Sorting and redistributing food donations including food waste (most of the waste is still in great shape and sometimes has long date but the label was just wrongly printed! ) to locals in needs. For a small fee or free.
The food van has arrived early, our strong task owner has already offloaded everything by the time I arrived! (reference pic provided)
My job was filling the fridge. Rearranging all the colourful yoghurt pots, milk and such. I'm obsessed with the colour arrangement. (felt proud)
Repacking the eggs, saving the good ones from the broken ones.
The odd job of the day was sorting pie donations. For food allergen reason, our task owner has to print out all the labels correctly and accordingly. Studying the pies, finding clues and crosschecking reference pictures from their official website. We felt like Detective Pies.
I had joy, satisfaction and felt valued; highly recommend this mission.

Thank you Ceiling for turning up, arranging the yogurts in a colourful manner and for being a pie detective 😉
