Reunited

Just like that the months fell away and at last, here we all were on a Monday night at GoodGym. 🥰

10 of the core team were back together again at one of our favourite task venues - Kamelia Kids. There were smiles all round seeing familiar faces and, of course, our youngest GoodGym member, Jemmie sporting her very own home made GG tee shirt and a pair of smart red gloves.

Round of applause for tonight's turnout 👏 (in arrival order )

The team set off on a short walk/ run around the block before we headed off to the playground for the dreaded fitness drills. Who's leg will ache in the morning I wonder?!

Andy welcomed us all like we were old friends as he outlined what was on the wish list tonight. The team chose between painting the wall in the playground and applying a wood treatment to the climbing frame.

Everyone got stuck in and pulled together to help and support the task in the most efficient way.As ever the progress was excellent. Apart from a passing shower we all stayed dry, if a little chilly!

Unfortunately just after we left the heavens opened and it poured down. I just hope the paint got time to dry a little and it hasn't all washed off by the morning!

Special mention to our very ownLucy who we also share with Portsmouth and who, after beating cancer 2 short months ago ran The 3 Forts Half Marathon on Sunday and also came along tonight and smashed out the fitness drills too!

Also, many congratulations to Annewho completed the same event as Lucy but at marathon distance.

Looking forward to seeing you all at The Sydney Walter Centre next Wednesday 2nd June. Same format: meet at 5.30 at the rowing club at Splashpoint for a run/ walk and fitness followed by the task at 6pm at the centre. Please feel free to join wherever suits you.
