Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Esther
Appropriately named 'Friends of Hamworthy Park' - This group of volunteers have been running this place for many years. Tirelessly campaigning to keep the popular paddling pool open and constantly battling with the local council to maintain this unique park from fences, benches, litter picking and so much more. Spending so many hours volunteering and ensuring it is the best it can possibly be for children, families and individuals to enjoy on a daily basis!
It really was panoramic painting tonight as we painted with views of a park, the sea, the beach huts and the houses with a panaramic views. This park is so lovely, pretty beach huts, brilliant play areas and vies out over Brownsea!
The first obstacle was opening the paint pots, followed by triple checking that it was the right colour order for the paint (5 colours!)
We split into 2's, took a fence panel and off we painted. Ali even said 'surely there is more instructions than that' - Nope - Here is a paint brush and off we go!
Great to welcome Lottie to Poole Goodgym - She attended Bournemouth last week and this week joined us on the paint challenge - fab to have you along Lottie and we hope to have you again soon!
Patricia and Nicola both ran in - Patricia making up the miles pre session with a little run around the park. There were whispers of a little person in a red shirt running around in circles!
We finished the panels we were on and took to the park for a run around. A mile loop for a warm up and down but some sharp intervals in the middle. As ever Robert took the challenge and sped across the grass like a 100m race, racing down Esther.
Great to have Becky back again with us this week!
Jane wins the prize for messiest painter, but at least the trousers and hands now match the Goodgym top!
Good luck to everyone running this Sunday - We look forward to hearing how you get on! Weather permitting - We return next week!
