Peaky Blinder
8 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Hammersmith and Fulham.

You need a good reason to wake up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning , and climbing three mountains is one of them! We hiked up Pen-y-Ghent as the sun rose, scrambling up rocks, then the long slog up Whernside and a final vertical descent to Ingleborough. Between each peak, we were litter picking the rubbish left along the way. There were packets after packets of discarded energy gels, there were sweet wrappers and empty bottles, tissues and the plastic knobs from the end of several walking poles! All were collected up and disposed of properly. By the time we’d completed the three peaks, 26 miles later, we’d made a difference with a bag full of litter that would otherwise have blown off into the dales, and that wouldn’t have been a very good end to the tale.
