Report written by Lindsay Fung
The heavens opened just before our run, with hail, rain and two rainbows!. But luckily by the time we had welcomed Nicola, who came for her very first run with us, it was dry, and even the sun came out! A lovely chatty 1.1 mile run past the Magazine and up New Walk, we arrived at Prebend Gardens. Once in and armed with our trusty litter pickers, we set to work. And with four bins in the garden, we were able to deposit the litter without using bin bags. Within a few minutes of us being there, the man that locks and unlocks the park turned up. He wanted to make sure we were ok. And to give us a friendly warning not to go near the wall at the back. I'll tell you why when I see you in case you're eating your tea whilst reading this! It's a lovely garden, I really think we can make a difference there. After half an hour we had finished our task. The local cat walked through and seemed to approve, even stopping for a photograph. We decided to make our way back via the outdoor gym. The light nights mean we can use this now, and as we had all enjoyed it last week, we used it again. I really enjoyed this task, and look forward to our next task there. See you all next week. Lindsay
