What a stunning summer evening! It was made even better with 6 brilliant goodgymmers being out in St Thomas, picking litter and doing a fitness session! Great work everyone who took part!
This evening we had two groups of 6 GoodGymers going out litter-picking and doing a fitness session. Our first group met in Cowick Barton playing fields at 6 pm, the summer evening still hot and stunning. A very warm welcome to Kathy who joined us for the first time. Lets give her a big cheer everyone!
After a safety briefing and a welcome chat, Pete, our brilliant task force member, led the group over towards St Thomas Park for a litter pick.
In 45minutes the group filled 5 bin liners with rubbish! What a difference it makes when we work together like this! So lovely to hear all the chats and banter going on in the group as well!
To finish off we did a fitness session, 6 different exercises 3 times over, each time making the exercise a bit harder than the previous round. You guys totally smashed it! Well done team!
Oh, and wasn't it amazing to let the chickens out again after the very long lockdown!
Next week we have 2 more community missions. The first mission is a heavy one, moving gravel in wheelbarrows, so that one will not have a fitness session linked to it as we will work hard enough at the task. The second one is litter-picking with a fitness session linked to it. Sign up here to join! I can't wait to see you then!
