Unfortunately the tree cutters weren't quite finished in the BPA compound so we couldn't decorate the outside area but we did get to create Santa's grotto instead.
We turned an empty room into a grotto using a gazebo, some festive sheets and material and lots and lots of decorations!
There was excellent team work especially with the unloading of the decorations from the shed featuring a human chain. The gazebo erection was team work in action. The sharing & cutting of the gaffer tape to hold everything together was another classic GG moment. Abby was the tallest person so got a lot of the hanging up jobs and Kat engineered a snowy tunnel to enter the grotto.
There was an excellent display of festive outfits and hats. Top marks to Vicki for the elf hat and matching face covering, to Aoife for the lovely jumper and hat combo and to Val for wearing the highest number of festive items!
Special hello to visitor Egg, visiting from "up north" and getting well involved in the task.
We left the compound feeling more festive and thinking about warm food and drinks so the fitness session got postponed!!
Question of the evening came from Jen... "What's the outside ceiling called?"
📸 Thanks to Kat & Lucy for the photos.
Ho ho hope to see you at some other December tasks! 🎅
