Mr W had a fall and needed to move his bed downstairs, other agencies could not help at such short notice, but a Goodgym call to action was all that was needed to get two Goodgymmers on the case on the same day. The task sounded simple enough, move a table upstairs and a bed downstairs. However, the table was quite big and pretty heavy and after several attempts at dismantling the table, it stayed stubbornly intact. Luckily, part time furniture expert David (on his 50th good deed!) was sure that it was designed to fit through a door, so we went for it. After a few pivots and a bit of grunting, the table was upstairs and happily this time, still in one piece. Compared to the table, the divan, mattress and headboard were a lot easier. Having done the job, we gratefully accepted a cup of tea and not being content with one task, we hot footed it to our respective group runs.
