Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

A fantastic turnout of 20 runners for Goodgym Bath tonight with a nice 6k run around the city to deliver pamphlets for AGE UK giving advice to the elderly on how to keep warm during the winter months including a thermometer so they can monitor the room temperature.

I was blown away tonight to see so many at the group run and lovely to welcome yet another New face in the form of Charles housemate to kenta Ali and Rebecca. It was great to see our student population back tonight after the Christmas break and from studying hard for their exams and I`m sure it must be a relief to take a break and have some fun.

We headed outside to the bridge for a warm up and headcount to introduce everyone and a reminder to set strava before taking to the streets and our first location at St John`s court, which offers sheltered housing for the elderly with 51 flats in total, a quick regroup with some walking lunges on the way. The queueing traffic were kept entertained here and I think we raised a few smiles tonight.

Lucky for us the next location was on the opposite side of the road at Minerva court and it`s 32 flats, this offered us a great opportunity to do some tricep dips on a rather convenient wall outside whilst Emily and team did a bit of postal work.

Time to head across town towards Kingsmead court to deliver to the 32 flats for the elderly and some more postal work to help keep the AGED WARM. Pascale chose some spotty dogs here which ofcourse meant more strange looks from passers-by and the packed university bus.

A bit of fun was in order tonight in Southgate centre, time to take advantage of the space for the group to really enjoy some FITNESS FUN in the shape of Sprint 3`s for 3mins ( some fantastic effort tonight by everyone) this was followed by the PLANKING CHALLENGE with Suzy and Lydia taking the prize after a stonking 2min plank. Lydia choose a squatting group task and Suzy opted for a tread the needle which was beautifully demonstrated by Ellen. We had some laughs here.

Kennet house was the final location on our list tonight but with no post box or visible access we made a final delivery at The Mineral Hospital and Waitrose. The final stretch back saw Four of our Cool Dudes caught in action by coach Steph (photo proof-so name and shame) strutting their stuff.

Great job tonight by all with a meaty run and lots of Fitness Fun. Just enough time left for a nice stretch out and a reminder to show Steph your I.D to get paired up or find out more from Sarah, Emily or Alexandra.

A final reminder that we have a run on Saturday this week to Bath city farm. Thanks to Rosie for tonight`s Pun.

Look forward to seeing you all next week.
