Planting Fruit Trees
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the Southall Transition in Ealing.

Tash and Philly headed to Southall to help plant fruit trees. There was a great turn out from the community. After a introduction on how deep and wide the tree holes needed to be everyone set off to plant their trees. After struggling to break ground initially, we were soon underway and digging a great pace, until we encountered the worlds largest brick. We roped in extra help and eventually managed to pry the brick out of the ground. With the hole deep enough we planted our plum tree. This was the fourth of five tree planting projects, sadly at a previous location some people had vandalized all the hard work, so this time once the tree was planted we also had to put a fence to enclose our plum tree. After we had finished we had a quick drink and headed home. A really lovely community event.
