Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Here is the report of Tom race:
Well although getting up at 7 on a Saturday is not my ideal routine and not help by the self-inflected late bed time, I got to Battersea Park and after a few grumbles I was feeling motivated and ready for the challenge ahead. There were quite a few goodgymers representing the team colours which also adds to the occasion. After a few chats about expected times etc something was mumbled over the loud speakers and before I knew it we were off. The course was 10KM, 4.2 laps around a section of Battersea Park and we were graced by the presence of team GB number 1 marathon runner who lapped nearly everyone in his quest of showing how quick you need to run to be an elite athlete (which was pretty dam quick). The run went really well it was a lovely flat course which meant I went a bit too quick out of the blocks and had a stich on the final lap, however all was not lost as I came in with a PB of 43.08 which I was pretty chuffed with. I found out at the end that a fellow good gymmer was hounding me down at the end however I managed to keep on keep him at bay for this time at least.
All in all team goodgym smashed it with nearly PB all round which meant the breakfast at Breakfast Club in Clapham taste all the nicer with many smiling faces.
I’m looking forward to the next one.
Here is the report of Katie:
The very early start was made a little better by a beautiful sunrise over Clapham Common. The 10km run was made a lot better by Rebecca's training plan & forgetting my watch- I smashed my PB to pieces by about 9 minutes! Breakfast was made SO MUCH better by celebrating with #teamgoodgym.
