Eton Wick is keen to not let anyone forget that it's Remembrance Sunday in 3 weeks time, so needed help to decorate the village with poppies. Our taskowner Claire outlined the tasks, and mother and daughter combo Jen and Brenda set about cleaning the Foosball table in the youth club. Rachel, Samuel and Sheila started to get the poppies we had spray painted in the last session, ready for attaching to the netting. Samuel proved to be a dab hand at drilling holes in the poppies, getting a good production line going. Sheila and Rachel attached them to the netting with cable ties, joined later by Jen and Brenda. Sara went to put up the Guardsman silhouettes with Andrew, and then returned to help with attaching the poppies to the trees and railings. Sara put the finishing touches to the poppies, chanelling her inner graffiti artist to add a black centre to each flower. They looked fab! The final task was to attach some large poppies to the lamp posts along the main road, giving the village true poppy-appeal!
