Laura and Sheila went to help out at Braywick Heath Nursery. While some trainees were busy creating beautiful hanging baskets in the potting area, and the staff reorganised the till area to an inside location for the winter, we took on some more pot-sorting. Instead of trying to sort the myriad of pots collected from customers for re-use, we decided to take a different approach and just picked out the ones that the nursery most-commonly used. This was a much more productive approach, and we produced several towers of pots. We even managed to carry them round to the potting area without dropping any!

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
