This Tuesday's group saw 5 GoodGymers helping the Edgeley Field Orchards to prune and prepare their trees ready for the cold winter months.

Ed, the man in the know, gave us a much needed and appreciated prep talk and educated us on the DDDC method to cutting back the plum trees. Damaged, Diseased, Dying and Crossed.

Then we were let loose to blast through the remaining trees which were left from a previous community session.

Rob and Pete even managed to stumble across a tree with mini plums, and happily munched away.

We were.lucky enough to have 'picked' (pun intended - of course!) the pearfect evening for the task and watched the sun set while eating Hannah's remaining Red Velvet cupcakes. The ones we salvaged from a passing dog anyway!
