Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Greenwich runner
This was possibly one of the easiest missions I've ever done! The task was to pick up a prescription for Ms N's daughter from the Boots pharmacy inside the University Hospital Lewisham. Expecting it to have a massive queue to pick up prescriptions, I decided to go as early as possible, which for me means leaving the house at 8.30 in the morning! Believe me, it's a feat, I am definitely not a morning person!
I clearly have been spending too much time in supermarket queues and am now conditioned to think that anywhere I go I have to wait for at least half an hour to get inside (Pavlov would be proud). So was pleasantly surprised to get there to find out there was only 1 person in front of me, but 2 pharmacists at the counter. Two minutes later and I was happily leaving the pharmacy in the possession of the precious medication. Result!
Another 30 minutes of running (fine, slow jogging) back and I reached Ms N's home, where I gave her the pack. And another 15 minutes and I was in my own home, ready to start my work day!
