At the Baby Bank this morning, Sheila and another volunteer were tasked with picking out presents that could be given out to children at the upcoming Eid celebrations, who otherwise would be going without. We had a list of the age and of the 49 children we needed to find presents for, ranging from 1 to 19. We were let loose in the toy room, picking out donations of new toys and books, and resorted to toiletries for the teenagers. We filled a large container, ready to be picked up that afternoon. Then it was on to finding new clothes for women who have recently been through the criminal justice system. It's not just babies that we help!

Providing essentials to families in extreme need

The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.
