Five fabulous GoodGymers did a fantastic job getting Exminster School Allotment ready for winter!
It was perhaps one of the rainiest and windiest mornings this YEAR! It really didn't look like something you wanted to enter out into.. But as you know GoodGym never cancels because of the weather and all five runners who had signed up to this Super Saturday Community Mission turned up. FANTASTIC!
We were welcomed by Rachel who looks after the school allotment, where the children from the local primary school get to plant, dig and see different vegtables grow. The allotment is beautifully situated with lovely views over the estruary that we could enjoy once the rain eased off a bit.
We spent 90 minutes digging, weeding ad clearing the flower beds from dead plants. It really was amazing how much we got done! Also very nice to enjoy some coffee and (almost) homemade cakes!
I hope you all had a lovely rest of the day and that you were all buzzing from having braved the bad weather and got a good deed in! AMAZING WORK TEAM!!
