It's Christmas Week!
Tonight's focus was on New Years Day and the regular Broadstone Quarter Marathon that happens every year. Last year it wasn't to be and this year the hope continues it can carry on pending any further announcements.
So to aid the organisation team, we were on leaflet drop about the local road closures.
We met at M&S and headed down the dark road of Charborough. Amazed by the variety of designs this narrow road, it was full of steep driveways and random steps. The houses appearing small yet they disappear into the heathland behind so you are left wondering how many floors it is and how far back it goes.
Onto Wallace Road which was even more varied and dark long driveways you hope leads to a house! On the corner is the drop down to blocks of flats that was fun to run down but offer a cruel steep climb back up (thanks to Robert and Elizabeth for waiting at top, watching my attempt to run up it!)
A few houses really are Fort Knox so we had to be imaginative (and feel sorry for Amazon drivers!) with doors and gates with gaps to spread the message!
Down the road for community leaflets and up again for nearly 4 miles of driveways!
Lovely to see you both before Christmas
Have a lovely Christmas Period and look forward to seeing you in the new year!
