Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
What to do when you’ve planned an epic 10-mile training run and you can’t actually run at the moment? Do it on a Boris bike of course…
After last week’s lovely Lea Valley run, eight GoodGymmers went on a South East London adventure. Starting at Canary Wharf, Mr Tom Benson ably navigated us through the docklands and past the fine, fat pigs of Mudchute City Farm before we crossed the river via the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. With a bit of help from Neil, we made it to the observatory in Greenwich Park (via what is surely one of the biggest hills in all of London) before stopping to enjoy a well-deserved view.
After heading further east via Woolwich Common, the highlight of the run was probably Charlton’s hidden gem, Maryon Wilson Animal Park, where we were able to enjoy the BABY DEER. Cuteness factor for the day sorted, we headed back to Greenwich to enjoy a nice pub roast.
Four more days left if you want to sign up for the New Forest 10!
