Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A week after some of us had taken on the challenging task of beating some sturdy Welsh horses, eight GoodGymmers met for the rather easier task of outrunning the canal boats of the River Lea and the Hertford Union Canal.
We started out in Springfield Park, taking in the sights of Walthamstow and Hackney Marshes before running past our final lunch destination of the Princess of Wales at a relatively early stage of the run. Despite some hunger pangs, we soldiered on for another couple of miles, did a quick loop of Victoria Park, and then headed back for a well-deserved burger on the canal side.
Special thanks to Steve for ably leading us in the right direction while I lingered at the back with a dodgy knee/foot combo.
See you next week to take in the delights of South East London, or on the 10th July for the New Forest 10.
