After a sunny road trip out to Knaresborough, the heavens decided to open just in time for the start of our mission! But the show must go on...
We met together at Dawn till Dusk and discussed our knowledge of the local area:
"The raven that speaks Yorkshire lives there doesn't it?" declared Katie referring to Knaresborough castle.
Once assembled we said hello to the residents of Thornecroft and assessed the state of the garden and paths. With no time to lose the garage was opened and tools taken.
Jenny, Tom and Adam took to clearing moss from the patio in front of the kitchen whilst Katie, Rachel and Aron swept up leaves from the path around the back of the house.
The pathways were cleared quickly and we soon took to pruning spiky and overgrown hedges. Tom heroically brought down an unruly buddliea and Aron enjoyed sawing up the large logs and building an attractive bug hotel/ log pile.
Jenny and Adam did a great job of making the front garden look more presentable and after an hour and a half we all met for a group photo on the 'love swing'.
After a great task we went for a well earned lunch and enjoyed scheming and making future GoodGym plans.
"I'm going to Google giant hats" Aron has BIG plans!
Great task. Great team. Great times. Thanks guys!!!
