...Red Velvet and Red shirts, so can mean only two things - We are tasking at The Vineyard Centre and it's CAKE ON THE RUN!!

So Elaine is probably sat feet up watching ....her soap and Richmond is stuck with me for the run report following her great debut as run trainer which I think we can all agree she was quite a natural at so well done Elaine and enjoy the rest...I shall try to keep punchy (promise)

Firstly all hail - Three first time runners at GG Richmond tonight! So exciting, especially in the weather this evening, so a big warm welcome to Alison, Victoria and Susan. Additionally a high five to Regina as well as we welcome her back for a second time (cake on both occasions I note)

What did we do? Well we challenged Richmond Hill first that's what we did not just once but three times and from different directions, so to all who came and conquered I salute you as that is some good strength running on what has to be the darkest, wettest night for a long time. So if you made it through tonight I think your golden for some flatter km's to come for sure

Funny, sat here at home warm and dry now and it feels good but not nearly as exciting as running with a great team even in the rain. And we accomplished soooo much in a short time

Let me see there was

The packing of the glassware The cutting of the bread (WHICH after those hills was so hard to just stand next to let alone cut it without eating) The clean film wrap (always in awe of people who can 'pull that off') The stock taking and recycling of the book shelves and other merchandise in the Vineyard shop Inspection and folding of the clothes for the sale rack

Man you guys are talented and all whilst soggy from the run and in one night - Ohh AND OF COURSE you sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Desiree ( the lovely Community Centre Manager)

Amazing work for an amazing organisation to assist with their close for some refurbishment - Every time we visit the Vineyard Centre there is so much inspiration from all the GOOD they do from feeding the homeless and re-clothing, providing a place to get clean and dry . A place that offers skill training to help people move forward and a place now where as part of 'holistic welfare' they can offer health checks from a nurse. This and so much more coupled with the stories of support from the local community make it a treat to be able to help and be part of !

OK so phew ...man we did heaps and amongst all this GOOD stuff there was the Pun inspired line from Guilia tonight as well so 'WAY TO GO ' ....I think the Cake on the run helped fuel the thought process. Full marks for multi tasking ; )

Lastly guys I mentioned a social for the London Goodgyms and it is at Roof Top Bar Southbank https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/don-t-be-aloof-we-re-heading-to-the-roof

Next week's task is huge so bring a friend if you can - see you then and looking forward to it !
