It was one of those cold, wet nights when Netflix, the sofa, and a glass of wine beckoned with the strength of a siren's call, yet 7 weather-proof Goodgymmers battled the elements to give Tottenham Green a little facelift. Absolute gems, every single one of them.
Is there a doctor in the house?
Oh, yes, there is and she's totally A&E (Awesome and Exceptional)! And Niamh's only gone and hit her 50 deeds too. Amazing. All the kudos her way.
A rainy night but no washout
Let's call a spade a spade: that was a horrid night. It was cold. It was windy. It was wet. This humble trainer would not have hold it against anyone if he'd ended up running by himself around N17. But I needn't worry - one by one, the heroes of this piece started drifting in. Soaked through and chilly but still smiling.
We were grateful for the shelter at HQ and took full advantage of it by doing a nice warm up in the safety of the closed canteen. We even had time for some shenanigans with a purple t-shirt - please direct questions about this to Nurjehan and Neil.
Then, before you could say 'it's freaking freezing out there', our Goodgymmers were running toward Bruce Castle, trying to avoid the hordes of Spurs fans on their way to the stadium, before arriving back at Tottenham Green.
Laura, from Friends of Tottenham Green, had left a list of tasks and tools prepared for us and we weren't planning to let a bit of rain stop us.
Dave and Latoya raked and cleared the slippery moss from the church's courtyard, Niamh and Neil went skating whilst sweeping a garden decking, and Nurjehan and Charlie trimmed back a lovely but massively overgrown couple of Buddleias.
How they worked. Rain? What rain?
Once we were done with our tasks, we went for another run to warm up before retiring to HQ for a yoga session led by Niamh and Dave.
Then there was cake, bonhomie, and laughter celebrating Niamh's 50th. The reviews are in already too: "A lovely, intimate Goodgym evening.' I literally can't put it better myself.
Next week's task is a goodie, come and join us!

We were not avoiding the Spurs fan! And a penalty finish is always punishing for all. Intimate moments run on exhaustion and good will are well known to our NHS A&E staff. We salute you Dr. N.
