Waking up to a gale blowing and lashing rain Mr C was half expecting to get a call to say we were going to cancel the mission - no chance. As is happened the Goodgym weather fairies were smiling on us and not only did it dry up, the sun came out.

Lucy, Bryon and I got started on the task at hand - preparing a soil bed for Mr C to grow tomatoes. This involved weeding, raking leaves, digging soil from the back of the garden and transporting via wheelbarrow to the new sunny tomato bed. Kiezia who is Mr C's coach runner (sporting bruised ribs thanks to a rather aggressive Thai massage!) helped move the garden rubbish out for collection and had a good catch up with Mr C having not been able to see him for a couple of weeks.

Mr C was delighted with the help and we had a great chat hearing about his cycling, swimming and theatre pursuits. He was particularly excited to tell us about his invite to a goodgym speaker event this Wednesday where he hoped to visit the top of the BT tower!

After about 1.5hrs we packed up and Kiezia did a cleanup of the flat and communal areas to get rid of stray leaves and the odd muddy footprint. Mr C thanked us for our efforts and said he hoped to welcome goodgym runners back again soon. It was a fantastic first mission for me and I look forward to many more!
