Report written by Sarah Moore (She/her )
12 runners ran all round Clyde Circus to let people know about the upcoming events at the Lordship Hub.
This week Sarah led the warm up, with a series of short dynamic jogs, designed to really warm up the muscles and joints we'd be using on our run.
With that done we headed off for a quick #bridgepic, and split into teams to do leapfrog flyer delivery to the roads around Clyde Circus. Team Jan-Feb-March marched off to the south, team May, may have gone to the Grove, and no rest for team Rest-of-the-year as the sped off round the circus road itself.
The flyers we were given spelled out lots of interesting events at the Lordship Hub, I'm gutted I'll have to miss the magic classes! But Riverfest looks amazing. We'd soon smashed out all the flyers and did a victory lap (or two) round the circus before heading back to Tottenham Green for a double fitness session.
Sarah lead us through a set of circuits. 30 seconds of mountain climbers, squats, lunges, and vertical mountain climbers. Next we went through a series of running exercises designed to focus on specific techniques, including sneaking-in-night™ soft running, scraping-off-dog-do™, and helium-bobble-head™, finishing off with a tightly fought 3 point continuous relay.
Tonight, the GG monthly social comes to north London!
Hats off to Louise for the pun report title.
