Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
Mission 1 of this morning slightly overran so I'd called Mrs J in advance to forewarn her that whilst I was in her neighbourhood I would be a few minutes late - I can only think that my finding of the Aunt Bessies's crumble mix a couple of weeks back had an effect as, after accepting my apology for my late running, she even said she was pleased to hear it was me doing her shopping this week!
With the now familiar list pick up arrangements from outside her door and a brief chat, it was off to the world's politest supermarket to hunt down what she needed - no particularly unusual challenges set this week, and Mrs J had kindly marked prices against the items so as to remove any room for uncertainty or need for deliberation. As per usual, she'd also provided clear instruction to "reach for the back" to try to get the longest sell by date on the shorter life items.
Unable to find anti-sceptic wipes on the Waitrose shelves, it was a quick diversion to Boots next door to get some there. Back up the stairs, a gentle tap on the door and another brief exchange of "thank you" and "you're welcome" whilst leaving the bag on her doormat - and so ended another very pleasant mission for Mrs J.
