Being less than 3km from our homes active travel was a no brainer for this mission. Linda arrived by foot and Julia (who was on her lunch hour) cycled to receive a friendly welcome from Mrs P.

Julia took the strimmer round the edges of the lawn while Linda used the lawn mower making a lame attempt at football pitch style lines…it’s the thought that counts 🙈 Essentially we were only there to mow the lawn but being the seasoned GGers that we are the call to pull a few weeds and brush up some leaves proved to much, especially as it would aid Mrs P’s maneuverability around the garden.

Both mower and strimmer we were using were pretty decent so we were finished and tidied up with 20 minutes to spare.

Mrs P obviously loves her pretty little garden but clearly doesn’t have the mobility to cut her grass. She was very pleased with the job done and let us use those 20 mins for a welcome cup of tea and slice of cake 🍰
