7 runners ran round the block to water some very thirsty hollyhocks.

With storm clouds threatening (but ultimately failing to) remove the need for our help, we gathered outside the Pool. Despite the weather, joining us for their first run were Ceri, and Latoya! Nice one. We warmed up with a quick game of name-calling burpees, which some passing children joined in. Big cheers to the child who decided to do double push-ups on her turn!

We then headed off round the block, with a few sprint drills working on our foot dorsiflexion (lifting the toes up) so help us spring into action.

Once we arrived at the green, we split into two team. Pruning round the green, and watering the hollyhocks in the kids playground. This was a more physical task than it sounds like, since there's no tap near there, and multiple trips and tips of giant bags were required. We gained another group of children who wanted to help out with the bucket sloshing, and pointed out the local insects too. With the additional help we were even able to fit in a quick sweep of litter picking!

After gathering around the Robinia Pseudoacacia for a team photo, we managed to fit in a fierce conditioning session, with a reverse pyramid of press-up and burpees. Hats off to Liam who flew through those press-ups!

Then those all important stretches, and off for dinner!
