Four Goodgymers helped Robin Hood Garden collect rubble which will be used to build wildlife habitats. Welcome new Goodgymer Alice.
The rubble was located in a nearby derelict site which the council said the garden can use, however without a key we had to tunnel under the fence (it felt like we were breaking out of prison, but this time to break into somewhere to collect the rubble).
Before we knew it we have created a rubble collecting assault cause as we created a chain to transport it to the garden. Afterwards we enjoyed some well deserved homemade tea and freshly picked tomatoes!
Robin Hood Garden is a vibrant, well established, independent community space in an important location for environment and wildlife. Set up as a community garden and social hub on the site of a demolished children’s nursery, the garden has over time placed an increasing emphasis on exploring ways to pursue its activities in harmony with its stunning natural location.

That's a real prison-break-style task. Sounds fun!
